Creative Writing 101

Instead of starting from the beginning of a paragraph and writing to the end, your ending has already been created. Imagine you can fast forward and rewind your life with a remote control. Surely you drink one or the other or know someone who does- write about it!

Write something that makes a shape on the page…ie: Go cloud watching for the day and write about what you imagine in the clouds. Write about what really bothers you the most and why. How do you feel? Sort of like hate, some people do not know joy, but try, what is joy to you?

Write about coming out of the dark and seeing the light. Write about a shiny object. Write a poem that is an ode to a fruit. Search online for color palettes and be inspired to write by one you resonate with.

Write about a magician or magic trick. How do you feel when you love someone who does not love you back? Write from the perspective of a garbage collector. What if you mirror started talking to you?
